What is an on-site loan?

The loan is a service dedicated to anyone enrolled in the Library, and allows you to take the volumes with you outside the Library.

If you are not registered with the Library, you can register at the Loan Desk by bringing:

• for UPO students, the smart card they gave you at the time of enrolment; the validity of the Library card varies according to the duration of your degree course.
• if you are an external visitor, a valid identity document and tax code, and your card will be valid for one year.

These materials are excluded from the loan:

• periodicals
• reference-only items, on any medium, eg. encyclopedias, dictionaries
• deteriorated works

The loan is possible:

• in the room with a loan at the counter
• upon reservation from the catalogue with collection in the pick-up locker next to the concierge
• you can use the self-lending station, see video instructions

At the bottom of the page you will find instructions for booking locker pickup.

Book reservations can be made from biblioUPO, by accessing MyBiblio, with the BiblioUPO app or by email at the address biblioteca.disit@uniupo.it

Attention! All textbooks (red and blue stickers) are on weekly loan, with the possibility of extension.

To return the volume, it is recommended to use the red box located under the shelter at the entrance to the department. The box is accessible 24 hours a day.

For those who find it difficult to return the books directly, they can be returned by post or courier with trackable shipping.

The least expensive solution with the Italian Post Office is the Registered Book Packaging service.
